I think it’s fairly obvious that Jules’ list is comprised of fairly new releases or reissues that are being stocked in the BN stores, not necessarily that these are the best cowboy romances.

He clearly states that they are just picks..meaning they don’t have to be bestsellers or popular, but what he as a buyer is stocking on the shelves right now.

However, If he paid more attention to what readers actually like in this genre of romance then maybe BN wouldn’t be having so many financial problems…just something to ponder.

I don’t think it has any reflection on you at all, or the quality of your books. If your next Black Top Cowboys book had been recently released you more than likely would have been on the list…being a NYT bestseller and all 🙂 Would have been on his radar as a book buyer. To me, he’s just lazy and obviously doesn’t read the books he recommends at all. Could be too that BN has quite a few of these books on hand and wants to sell them…maybe because your books sell so well they don’t have a lot in the back room…

Good luck to everyone who commented!

I know I missed the contest (the kids kept me busy yesterday!) but I wanted to leave my comment anyway!

I didn’t think I liked western romance until I read your books! You turned me. I read Cowgirls Don’t Cry (in one night!) and I immediately went through your entire collection. Not only do I love your stories but the way you write. You make the reader feel like they’re there. My heart aches when I read the last page because I know it’s over but I want to know more!!

To the people who write these lame lists…screw them :o) we know how amazing and talented you are. Never stop!

See this is what happens when I get stuck doing stuff with the kids all weekend ;). Sorry I missed your contest but agree with other comments it was a strange and lacking list is all I can say. Your work is loved by many the NY Bestseller list proves that.

hmmm, it would be a tie, between Chasin’ Eight and Rough, Raw & Ready for me.

About that list… I think they’re scared to post the ‘real’ deal. Facts are sex sells…. regardless of how PC it is. Excluding erotica from the list, is a sell out in my opinion. Covers are too sexy and the contents too hot for your average in the closet readers to publicly acknowledge… :O) BUT where is the line drawn? What transitions a book from ya to romance to erotic romance to erotica? Who decides? Cause I’ve read plenty of books that blur the lines. Genres are just a way to pigeon hole someone’s work.

Sorry Busy weekend but I have to say it can’t be a best cowboy romance list if you’re not on it. I love the way you write gritty real exactly as it should be. And for the record my fav is Rough Raw & Ready I love Chassie and Trev & Ed arn’t bad either lol (My heart will always belong to Colby though)
I have even got my Daughter addicted now she loves your books too. Keep em comin can’t wait for the next one

I have to agree with all previous comments. I love your books not just for the erotic value and inspiration but the depiction of western life and values. From “Rode Hard and Put Up Wet” to “Cowboy Casanova” I can’t pick just one. I also love the Hard Top Cowboys. Your books have also expanded my love life :-). I also enjoy is Linda Lael Miller and Carolyn Browne in the western romance genre. Kudos to Lori Armstrong also;love the Mercy series and I am having a great time with Guns and Roses. Your western fans should give these a try. Thank you again for your great work!

I went through the list and found one of the books at the public library and put two others on hold. The one I got was awful. I ended up just skimming it and returned it in 24 hours. Just sayin’
