Western Wednesday #87

September 5, 2012

My daughter took this pic outside the Sugar Shack, a burger joint just up the road from Pactola Lake, after we’d spent the late afternoon motorboatin’ on the lake. This is a perfect example of a gorgeous, fiery South Dakota summer sunset and a cool configuration of clouds.

Absolutely gorgeous…always wanted to visit out West. You bring it to us in your books. I goggle the areas you write about and the streets and businesses are exactly where you say that are so it gives me a feel for the area and the story.

Beautiful photo! I’m really missing the Black Hills this summer/fall.

Great pic. Reminds me of some of the Colorado sunsets I saw a couple of years ago.

    Hi!
Were you on a “Pontoon rollin in slow motion”?
Haven’t been spending much time online lately 🙁 busy getting the school year started. But I always make time for your books. I can’t help but devour them as soon as they come out…dang it! I meant to send you a note after the last one. You amaze me how fresh you keep each story. They definitely aren’t cookie-cutter. Enough of me complementing you or your hat won’t fit LOL.
    take care
    Lori
