Got a spare 11 million so I can buy the Boner…Ranch?

February 2, 2012

Seriously, the name of this ranch is the Boner Ranch. I drive by it at least twice a year on my way to Laramie. It is a gorgeous, gorgeous chunk of land that takes my damn breath away and when I saw it was for sale? For the first time in over 100 years? I got a serious…case of Boner envy.

Here’s the link: The Boner Ranch – Nibrara County, WY

Come on, don’t you think Lorelei James NEEDS to own the Boner Ranch? My buddy mystery author CJ Box, who lives in Cheyenne, drove past it the last time he came to Deadwood, and he emailed me, snickering that was the perfect ranch name for a western erotic romance author like me.

What the hell I’d do with 32,000 acres is a mystery, but I could have a conference or something. Ooh, how about my own private rodeo with gen-u-wine Wyoming and South Dakota cowboys! And I could invite you all! Well, there would be a cover charge…

I’m only about 11 million short πŸ™ — shall we start a Paypal account?

Its beautiful!!! Although I hope that white house shown isn’t the main house, ’cause for $11 million the roof shouldn’t leak πŸ˜‰ I really need to get myself on a road trip through WY because its so beautiful and all I ever seem to get around to seeing is CA, FL and VA πŸ™‚ Of course, if there was a place filled with hunky cowboys and as well as my favorite author, well, I really wouldn’t have an excuse to not go to WY πŸ™‚

Would LOVE to make you a part of our wonderful state…I vote you buy it! Wish I had an extra 11 mil hanging around…I’d be happy to loan it to you, but…I’m lucky to have 11 dollars hanging around with an upcoming UW student myself! Sorry!

I often torture myself by looking at the Ranch Marketing Associates webpage that has ranches for sale all over the West. There was one for sale in October (might still be) that was PERFECT except it was located in Colorado. Don’t get me wrong, I like Colorado fine but I have a sibling living there and it would be just too close for comfort. So that is my ‘excuse’ for not buying the 7.5 mil ranch. It is gorgeous!

It is called the Moonshadow Ranch and it is in Steamboat Springs. Google it! I can’t help but think about Cord and AJ when I look at the photos of the house. It is every modern cowgirls dream! And oh- the barn! I would let a McKay use his ropes in there for sure!

Thanks for sharing the Boner Ranch. Can’t imagine what would make a family sell after having it in the family for 100 years! I don’t think I’d be able to let it go without a fight. And it is good to know I’m not the only one who drives by a large ranch and dreams. πŸ™‚

If I win the lottery, I’ll buy it for you L, but I’ll need you to supply the cowboys.

It is gorg! I wish I had the money- I love the western sky. How large of a life insurance policy does Mr. L have? Just saying, with your imagination I am sure you could make it look like an accident.

Really I am kidding. But there are days when Mr. Kidd leaves his socks in the middle of the room that I count up what I could do with his insurance money.

OMG!!! I would live in that little shed and be a happy person. Good Lord that is BEAUTIFUL. What’s pretty funny is that my oldest son has always been fascinated with the west and he has OPEN FENCES sent to us. The latest issue is sitting on my kitchen table and now I can’t wait to go home and look up the BONER RANCH. I’m also going home and counting my pennies so I can contribute to the JG BONER RANCH FUND.

LOL, you so need the ranch! I’d be willing to deposit into a Paypal account for you πŸ™‚ I actually feel a bit sorry for the real estate company because they are going to get more hits on the ranch site in one day from all of your readers checking it out then they are probably used to. Someone is thinking they are going to have a bidding war on their hands πŸ™‚

Ahmmm, you could lease the land out, maybe to more then one person and they’re rent payments, could make your land payments. Makes you wonder why they are selling. Does look a bit dry there tho. Beautiful country. Lots of room to ride.

Well, the Boner ranch is really large, and the Seamen hills that devide it are beautiful. I would say it is worth the 11 million. If only I had 11 million plus just laying around it would be perfect. πŸ™‚
