Whining Wednesday

March 24, 2010

I know, it’s supposed to be Western Wednesday…but I feel the need to whine.

Why?

Facebook shut me down completely. My social media guru set about contacting people who were friends on my Lorelei James Facebook account to let them know the Lorelei James profile was going to private, but the reasoning was that I’d be more interactive on the Lorelei James Fan Page. Evidently someone reported me as spam and TADA!! They deleted my Facebook account — claiming — get this — I don’t really exist.

Uh-huh. Tell that to the people who are anxiously awaiting Rough Riders book 9, Raising Kane!

Hopefully we’ll get it all straightened out.

And if you’re so inclined to leave a comment on my post over at Murder She Writes, I’m giving away a copy of any of my Lorelei James backlist, print or download, to a random commenter. Here’s the link:  It’s Not Fair

They deleted your Facebook account claiming you don’t exist? Seriously? I think authors are a big draw to Facebook and they may need to be a little more careful in their interaction with authors. Sorry that happened. Bad Facebook! You totally exist.

What a load of crap! The majority of authors go by a pseudonym.

Plus I know some fan pages on there are for characters in books. Isn’t that what a fan page is all about anyway? You’re a fan of someone or something.

Well no wonder I couldn’t find you on FB last night! Geez, that stinks! 🙁

Oh this just is so not right! I am one of those waiting (not so patiently) for Raising Kane! Bring it on!
