Western Wednesday #65

December 14, 2011

Been a while since I posted for Western Wednesday. Yes, this buffalo skull really hangs in my house — along with 3 others at various places — why yes, these are my husband’s — why do you ask? Doesn’t everyone have animal heads and buffalo skins on their walls? Anyway I really LOVE these funky metallic skulls my talented hubby artistically embellished — the Santa hat adds just the right touch, doncha think?

Love this. No buffalo skulls in my house but there is a spectacular longhorn skull in the kitchen.

Reading cowboy casanove now, can’t put it down. I never liked to read but found one of your books and loved it. You are one of the first authors I got hooked on and now I have read over 200 books. My family said they are sending me to Kindle rehab. You keep writting and I’ll keep reading.

Me, too…me, too! Though mine’s not wearing a hat…and it’s in my gallery, not my house. 🙂

*uhhh* Not a skull to be found on our walls – here in Chi-town…. ; ) That metallic finish is quite unique!
As for “Cowboy Casanova,” have *eased* into it, since I’m squeamish about certain *ahem* topics, but moving along w/ it, too. TY for giving us another great yarn, right before Christmas, LJ!

Why stop with just the skull. We used to have the whole head. My dad had a taxidermist do a head for us, with one of our own buffalo. But mom got tired of having it in the house and how it hangs in the Petrified Wood Musemn in Lemmon, SD. I really liked “Buffy”. I used him for a night stand. he never was hung on the wall. LOL. I also had alot of cow and bull skulls around the flower beds in the yard. Hubby said it was where I was going to bury him when he passed on. His Indian Burial grounds, but my son got tired of it and hauled it all away. I wonder where he hid them? Thanks for sharing.

I love it. No skulls but we did have a six foot long snake skin hanging on the rail until recently when it got damaged. I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. I do have a picture of my horse with a Santa hat

Hmmmm! I can just see it now. Hanging on the stone wall between the samurai sword and the Bleach sword and mask and above the giant pocket knife!
