4. Get on a scale lately. Yowza. Why do I think summer means eating unlimited ice cream?5. Talk politics with my uber-conservative relatives at the family reunion at our family farm in 2 weeks. I’ll grab a beer and hide out behind the granary and shoot guns with my cousins. 6. Walk out on that glass floor over the Grand Canyon. I’m not afraid of heights, but I think it’d make me sick. 7. Waterski on the Missouri River or the Ocean. Lakes? No problem. On enormous unknown bodies of water? No way. 8. Eat sushi. I don’t eat fish ever, especially not raw. 9. Clean under the staircase in the utility room. I think those gigantic spiders from Harry Potter have taken up residence there. 10. Pierce my nose, navel, eyebrow, tongue, or my…OUCH! 11. Learn how to do anything technical on the computer. I am so computer illiterate it ain’t funny. Posting youtube vids is a task for me. 12. Go to a nude beach or camp. Not a prude, just…modest. Being naked isn’t…freeing, it’s private. I love to slip into my outdoor hot tub au natural, but no one can see us. 13. Think about getting my oldest daughter ready for college this time next year. Where does the time go? What are some things you are scared to do? |

Getting a tatoo, flying in a airplane, getting on the scales, snakes, and spiders.

I’m afraid of sharks and fires.

Usually when I admit to being afraid of something I purposely go out and do it…not going to happen with bungee jumping, skydiving or anything else remotely close to leaping off a building!
However, I think your 13 is the scariest of them all…good luck because that one you’ll have to face 🙂

I’m with you on the tatoo’s and piercings. They look so hot on other people; I keep picturing how they’d look a few (ok a lot of) years down the road on my wrinkled, sagging, 80 year old body. Eww!

I’m with you on most of those. I see no reason to jump parashute out of a perfectly good airplane or to cause bodily pain with piercings. Ack!

LOL I hate that spider scene in Harry Potter.
And I’m with you on tattoos. I’m scared it will hurt oodles.

I am so with you on the glass walkway thing! Oh and I have those same relatives I think, LOL.

I can pretty much repeat your list, but I do like sushi. The good thing is I can write about doing these things and pretend I’m brave! Lucky I have a good imagination 🙂

Isn’t it weird we seem to have the same fears?
I really thought I was the ONLY one around my age that doesn’t have a tattoo…I can’t believe the sheer number of young girls inked everywhere.

I’m a chicken too but I’ve actually done some of those.
Gotten a tattoo, my navel pierced, always puttering around and fixing on the pc (dangers of being formerly married to a techie), been to a nude beach.
Agree with the skydiving and hang-gliding. Afraid of heights and can’t swim.

I’d be scared of skydiving and that glass floor thing. I used to love heights, and then out of the clear blue, I was suddenly terrified of them. For no reason at all.
Our fears have no rationale.
Except when it comes to skydiving and hang-gliding!
