Running With The Devil Is Out In Print Today! Contest!

June 19, 2007

Running With the Devil is available in print today – wahoo! I received my author copies yesterday and mmm mmm I love the cover. What’s between the covers is pretty hot too. πŸ™‚

Kenna and Drake were fun characters to write. And yes, all the wild stuff you read about actually happens in Sturgis during the Rally. Not that I’m taking notes or anything when I’m up at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground or at one of the awesome concerts at The Glencoe…okay. So, maybe I am paying close attention to what the revelers are doing in the dark, in public, or right out in the open. But I’ve never taken off my shirt for a string of beads.

So to celebrate, let’s run a contest! To win a print copy of Running With the Devil, answer this question: Do you have a motorcycle? Have you dated someone with a motorcycle? If so, what’s the appeal?

I’ll keep the contest open…for a few days. And if I get lots of replies and entries – I might be enticed to throw in an official Sturgis T-shirt as an additional prize.

Vrroom Vrroom, let’s kick start this contest into high gear!

I have a scooter. Does that count? πŸ˜€ I love it! I honestly bought it just for the cheapness and the gas mileage, but then something about driving down the road with the wind in my face got me, and I was hooked.

I don’t have a motorcycle but my hubby used to have one. I always wanted to drive and he wouldn’t let me. lol. My BIL has a harley and it stays in our garage. And no there is no appeal to this man at all even if he does ride a harley

No no motorcycle, although I used to date a navy guy who had one. I don;t know if the appeal was the bike or the uniform. The is nothing greater than riding down the road with your hair blowing and your arms wrapped around a great bod.

My brother has a bike, my friend has a bike, Jason from Sweet Moon Dreams has a bike and my fiance wishes he had a bike. I’ve never had one, but I’ve had the opportunity to ride one. Ooh, baby!

My fiance drools over them in magazines and has to crane his head when he sees one on the road. I have to admit, I wouldn’t mind seeing my man on one. Just something about motorcycles just screams freedom.

I’ve always wanted to ride a motorcycle. I think it’s the freedom feeling too. I wonder if there’s somewhere to rent a BMW motorcycle…That’s a nice bike.*g*

I had a moped in high school. Does that count?

My next door neighbor when I was in high school had a minibike and he used to give me rides around his horse fields. Unfortunately it was just a ride, although I had a huge crush on him and he knew it but I was a skinny thing and couldn’t compete with his stacked girlfriend.

I did date a guy for two years who had a motorcycle, a Harley. His brother was a Hell’s Angel and we went to a pig roast with him and his friends. On the bike.

Nope no bike. My dad had a Harley when I was growing up. I remember feeling the rush of air and excitement when he would take us for a ride. My sons (21 & 18) thnk it would be cool to have a bike. lol, I know if my dh said let’s get a bike I’d be ready to climb on behind him. πŸ™‚

Great contest. I don’t have a bike but I love them!! I have this picture of me when I was about 7 yrs old sitting on my uncle’s bike and I think that’s where my love of them began!!I don’t know really what the appeal is but everytime I see some guy on one I always gotta watch them go by or hunt them down!!LOL!!!

I don’t have a bike but I would like to have one someday. I never dated anyone who owned one. I did ride with my cousin once but that just didn’t have the same thrill as riding with a hot biker guy.

Ooh, lots of wanna be biker babes here.

I dated quite a few guys with motorcycles. I have forbidden my daughters from doing the same, LOL~

Karen – Hell’s Angels? You keepin’ secrets, woman?

And ladies, there is nothing like hanging on for dear life on the back of a bike with a hot biker. Mmm. One of my fave memories is of hubby and me ridin’ his brother’s bike through the rain after a hot afternoon. Something so sexy and freeing…

Rose Marie – your fiance would be in heaven during the Rally in Sturgis 500,000 motorcyclists and you can wander down Main Street for hours looking at the bikes – same goes for the lines and lines of bikes at the campgrounds.

I have no desire to drive one, riding along is good enough for me. Now my husband, if he had his choice, wouldn’t have a Harley – but a Ducati – and those aren’t meant for female passengers on the back.

Pam – does BIL’s Harley stay in the garage because it’s always broken down? Ooh, sorry, couldn’t resist, Harley’s are notorious for that πŸ™‚

I used to date a guy with a motorcycle. That is what got me into liking them for the feeling of freedom when crusing down the highway, the wind in your face, the closeness it brings the rider to the operator.
Dh used to own a motorcycle but was too small for two to ride on; now he owns a Quad(4 wheels) and the both of us ride it together and have a ball.

Congrats on the print release! We used to have motorcycles. I think it is the bad boy appeal of it. lol

  13. Danielle said:

Yes, my husband when he went through his mid-life crisis decided to buy a motorcycle. It’s a Honda Shadow…last year he brought a new seat for the bike and my seaat sits higher than his seat.

  14. Michelle B. said:

Unfortunately, NO to both questions. But I’ve had daydreams about being on one with a hot, studly, bad boy. I think there is a mystique about the freedom and living on the wild side.

  15. tami said:

yep had several boyfriends that did, now i dont see why i loved it , the riding on back of a sweaty black leather jacket

but did! woo hoo the guys was ‘bad boys’!

Congrats on the print!!! I bet so exciting to hold on to one!

My godfather rode a motocycle. I loved to feel when he was coming to my house cuz I knew he was coming to pick me up and drive me out around and lunch and all. I did it from the time I was about8 years old until 12 when he moved away to the western states. He would always laugh because even though I couldn’t hear him, he knew to rev up the motorcycle so I could feel it and know that he arrived on Saturday! At first I was totally scared and held on so tight, but the more I rode with him, the more I could look up to the sky and look around me as we drove by. It was really a special feeling being on a motocycle! I never been on one since he passed away but they really make you feel free.

I don’t have a motorcycle, nor have I ever dated someone with one. I feel safer travelling in four wheels but there’s always a first time for everything, rite?

I have dated someone with a motorcycle actually I married him lol Whats the appeal about a motorcycle? OMG what is there not to like about this huge vibrator between your legs?? lol And I love the sound of Sturgis during the rally…and neither have I or will I take off my shirt for beads lol

  19. Beth Reimer said:

    No I don’t have one
Never dated anyone who had one
The appeal for me is that it fits the bad boy image

The only time I’ve been on a motorcycle is when one of the police officers at the place I was working at drove up in his motorcycle. We still had time before I had to set up and open, so he asked if I wanted a ride. All we did was drive across the street to the convenience store, but I held on to him as if my life depended on it, lol.
