Holy holy holy crap have I had an overwhelming response to the Sierra and Boone story thread in GONE COUNTRY! I’m happy you all liked it, as it was a departure for me and for the Rough Riders series.
I’m thrilled and humbled with the reviews and comments and emails I’ve gotten from readers about this book. Wow. Seriously humbled. Writing is such a solitary gig, I live in my cave with these characters in my head and I’m so happy when they are as real to readers as they are to me. I’m glad I can keep surprising you and 14 books into the series it hasn’t become stale.
As far as Sierra and Boone….YES absolutely I will write their story. I wouldn’t have introduced them to each other and to you if I didn’t intend to revisit them in the future.
When that will happen? Well…stay tuned. I’ve gotta have some secrets ๐
But rest assured, Sierra and Boone won’t be star crossed lovers forever.
Dalton’s book, REDNECK ROMEO, Rough Riders book 15, is scheduled to release in June 2013.
Thanks to everyone who made my release week a memorable one!

OH THANK YOU!!!!
My friend and I have had daily conversations about the whole series (she is just finishing now with Gone Country) and we were both sad to see the series end. We even talk about how we would love to see some sort of daytime (or evening) TV drama from this storyline! Not to mention a novel surrounding a weeklong reunion at some point down the road ๐ *hinthintnudgenudge*

I loved Gavin and Rielle, it’s nice to see no matter what age love is always possible. I really enjoy when you re visit the McKay clan and we get to see how the kids of grown and loved the history of the family that Sierra and Boone did and am very much looking forward to their story.
Thanks and hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!

It was an awesome book and I’m glad you are planning on finishing Sierra and Boone’s story. If her grandparents found their way back to each other, I knew Sierra and Boone will too. Looking forward to Dalton’s story and, hopefully, checking up on Keely and Jack. Ha, Ha…poor Jack…! At least he has a lot of BILs to go to for advice.

I’m thinking that Boone’s story will be in the West Series of books since he is a West. Hee Hee, and you will wait awhile to see if we’re on top ot things for not.
As we have noticed in the past, even if you have a new series for your books, someone from another series slips in every once in awhile. so I think that is what you have planned for Boone’s book, with Sierra.
Thanks, WE LOVE YOU! :).

I spent the first 25 years of my life growing up in Montana and the next 25 in South Carolina. So with new electronic technologies (Nook), I can search and read about the western romance I still remember and lived briefly. I stumbled upon your Rough Riders series by chance. I bought the first one thinking I would test out the first book in the series to see if I liked them. OMG, I was on a weeks vacation and ended up reading the whole book in one day. Needless to say, I ended up buying the whole series and read it that week. I don’t have a favorite because I’ve loved them all. I have Dalton’s story bought that will download automatically on June 18. I loved all the stories so much, I just read them ALL again. I read a lot and I’ve never read a book twice. So, that tells me you are very good at what you do. Please don’t ever stop writing and thank you giving this old gal a way to spice up her longtime marriage
