I love Easter candy…but not jelly beans — shudder — or those marshmallow Peeps (still boycotting YOU, Just Born Candy Company) because to me candy, needs to be some form of chocolate.
My favorite? Russell Stover coconut “nests” — two flavors to choose from, although, the pretty green and delicious butter bon bon variety must not be popular in Rapid City because I haven’t found them anywhere. So here are pics of my favorites, and yes, I pick off the jelly beans 🙂
What are your favorites? And do you buy your kiddos the kind of Easter candy *you* like to eat in the hopes they’ll share?

My daughters are now 25 and 27, one doing graduate studies in another province and one teaching overseas, and this is the first year ever that neither of them is at home at Easter, so I haven’t bought any Easter candy at all. I miss my girls, but find myself grinning as I remember waking up well before dawn one easter sunday morning and realizing I’d forgotten to hide the easter bunny’s treats — rushing about the house stark naked (yeah, not a pretty sight), scattering jelly beans, marshmallow bunnies and mini chocolate eggs all over the house. And for every chocolate egg I hid, I ate at least one myself. Good times.

Since I don’t have any children I only have to buy for me and my sis. I always buy what I like, which is anything with chocolate. However, I sure do love those Cadbury Easter Creme eggs…the ones with the caramel inside…..absolutely deeeelightful!!!

I love anything with peanutbutter in it. The basket I got my son had a dodgeball in it and I had my 2 sisters over for lunch with their famlies so after we ate it was adults VS kids. Kids won 7 to 4 , but we did make 2 of them cry ( we where better at gloting when we won) Best Easter ever !!!!
