Exciting book news! I’m writing a new series!

The official news of the sale of my new series to NAL was announced yesterday on Publisher’s Marketplace:
New York Times Best Selling author Lorelei James’ two books in the UNWOUND series, a new contemporary erotic romance series, centering around a young woman in her twenties who enters into an intense sexual relationship with an enigmatic martial arts master with knowledge of the art of Japanese erotic bondage, in a major deal, to Kerry Donovan at NAL by Scott Miller at Trident Media Group.
I’ve had to keep quiet on this until now, so I can finally share the details with everyone! As you can tell from the description above, this is not a western series. The books will still be erotic. Here’s how it came about, last November these two characters just showed up in my head and wouldn’t leave me alone, so I knew I had to write their story…immediately if they had their way. Luckily I had a meeting with my awesome NAL editor when I was in NYC in January, told her about my idea, and she was intrigued and on board with the project.
Who are the main characters? My female lead is Amery Hardwick–a graphic designer who encounters my male lead, Ronin Black, who owns the ju-jitsu dojo where she’s taking a women’s self defense class. Amery literally gets knocked off her feet when she meets the intense Sensei Black….
It is a two-book series, set in Denver, Colorado. The first book, UNWOUND, will be told from Amery’s point of view. The second book, will be told from Ronin’s point of view 🙂
Here’s the really exciting part of this announcement–UNWOUND will be published in November of this year!
Never fear, I’ll still be writing Rough Riders books and Blacktop Cowboys books–this series won’t replace existing series, it’s in addition to what I’m already scheduled to write in 2013 and 2014.
You all are always telling me to write more, write faster….so I will be one busy bee 🙂
