First off, THANK YOU everyone for all the awesome, insightful comments about how much you loved CHASIN’ EIGHT! Release week is crazy with promotion, and since this is my longest book to date — I didn’t plan it that way, it’s just the deeper I dug into Chase and Ava the more I found! — I figured it’d take longer for readers to finish it and weigh in.
Umm…not so. Most of you devoured it, which thrills me to no end 🙂 So thanks again.
I’ve had a couple of emails, okay a LOT of emails asking two questions, so I thought I’d address them here.
Q – 1) Chase is taller than Ava on the cover of CHASIN’ EIGHT — what gives? He’s three inches shorter than her in the book!
A — I’ve made no bones about the fact I adore this cover, and it was photo shoot specifically for this book, according to my specs and those of the cover artist, the fab Scott C., who was on set during the shoot. When I was presented with options, it was a no brainer for me — this shot rocked my Rough Riders world. With so many publishers, the image on the cover isn’t even freakin’ close to the characters in the book. When I saw this one? I knew it captured Chase and Ava perfectly. So use your imagination. Pretend Ava is undressing Chase, herding him up the stairs to her bedroom at her beach house in LA 🙂
Q – 2) Is the Cooper Square Hotel in NYC a real place?
A — Yes, although I have no clue who really owns it. My brother and his wife were married there last summer, in the penthouse, at dusk, and it was one of the most spectacular, magical things I’ve ever seen. We stayed at that beautiful hotel for a week, and walked all around NYC, which was fantastic. I love NYC, and I am fortunate to get to travel there at least once a year — I wish I was there right now, cheering on my writer friends who are gearing up for the RWA RITA ceremony tonight.
I’ve been at various places this week, ask an author corner at Good Reads, and last night I participated in a chat at Righteous Perverts (love that name and the chatters were crazy, wild, fun — thanks Kris and Blackraven!) and today Seductive Musings is running a contest, with a Rough Riders quiz! Just finished Chasin Eight and loved it. I can’t get enough of the series and you’ve left me with my toes curling thinking about what your going to do with Ben’s story. The collar and riding crop are leaving me with high hopes of Ben being a total Dom. From the clips of him in earlier stories I’d call him Master anyday 🙂

I know the cover was a big deal. And this version is great! I just wish the height difference didn’t require me to use my imagination. I happen to like shorter men. But the cover is H-O-T! Righteous Perverts was a lot of fun last night. It was my first chance to chat live with some of the ladies from the Yahoo! group. It was fast and fun! Heading over to take the quiz now. Thanks again for Chasin’ Eight. I had to force myself to put it down so I could get some work done! Can’t wait for the next installment!

I’m a wee bit behind on reading the series; I’m just finishing up CDC, so I try to stay away from reading anything that would be a spoiler on C8.
I am really loving the series. Keep ’em coming and we’ll keep on reading!!!

Finished Chasin Eight today. I loved it. There were times I was laughing then crying! I can’t wait for the next book!! I’m hoping Ben will find him a firecracker next 🙂

I finally had time this very busy weekend to read Chasin’ Eight! THANK YOU!! I loved it! Also as I was flipping channels one night not long ago I came across the show “Man vs Food Nation” and they were having a stuff yourself with food contest and one of the contestants was a gentleman named Travis Briscoe, a very “droolworthy” cowboy and he rides for the PBR. Now he’s in my head as Chase! Thank you so much for the Rough Riders series, I look forward to more……
