Thursday 13 – Cool Titles Of Books I Haven’t Read Yet

September 27, 2007

Thirteen Things about Lorelei James
I love book titles. I especially love clever titles. Some of these books are on my TBR pile, and I’ll admit, I know a few of these authors from the mystery world, which makes it even more fun. All the books (except Go-Go Girls) are available!

  1. X-Rated Bloodsuckers – Mario Acevedo
  2. So Faux, So Good –Tamar Myers
  3. Chopping Spree –Diane Mott Davidson
  4. California Demon –Julie Kenner
  5. Night of the Living Deb –Susan McBride
  6. Hell Hath No Curry –Tamar Myers
  7. No Nest For the Wicket –Donna Andrews
  8. We’ll Always Have Parrots –Donna Andrews
  9. Suture Self –Mary Daheim
  10. Earth Girls Aren’t Easy –Charlene Teglia
  11. The Electric Michelangelo –Sarah Hall
  12. Must Love Dragons –Stephanie Rowe
  13. Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse –Victor Gischler

OK, Night of the Living Deb sold me.

I read If I’d Killed Him When I Met Him I’d Be Out of Jail Today for the title. McCRumb’s titles almost always grab me. PMS Outlaws. Bimbos of the Death Sun. I can’t pass those up.

    Hope you enjoy Earth Girls!

I’ve read X Rated Bloodsuckers – it’s not bad actually, really good in parts even. And I’ve got Earth Girls in my TBR pile!

I read that first one as “X-Bloodsuckers,” like they’d been reformed or something 🙂

I’ve been meaning to buy that book from Mario Acevedo. Maybe tomorrow on my next book-shopping spree to Borders… 🙂

I ran across a title in an older Publisher’s Weekly (yep, backed up there, too) and was going to post it ’cause it’s such a great title. But then I left the magazine in the car…

I swear, a great title can up a book’s sales. I know I’ve picked up more than one book on the strength of a title.

I’ve read Diane Mott Davidson’s series and the two Mary Daheim series.

    X-rated Bloodsuckers? lmao.

Some people are just really good at thinking up titles. I loved the first of them but unfortunately haven’t read them either. Great list! Happy TT!

The Kim Harrison titles are also fun.

I have not read any of these. 🙁
