What the heck is SLOW RIDE about?

Ever since we put up the blank cover spot for SLOW RIDE on this blog page, I’ve been getting tons of email asking who the main characters are, what the book is about, why I haven’t mentioned it anywhere before now (I have, and you’d know that if you were a member of my yahoo group, the James Gang!) and why isn’t it available RIGHT NOW….well, the last one, patience, me little darlin’s, it’s coming. Soon.
So, here’s the deal. SLOW RIDE is a never-seen-before short story, around 8000 words. And it will be a free download on Nov. 9th.
That’s right, I said a FREE download, available in multiple formats, at all the usual e-vendors. Cool, huh?
As for who the story is about…Keely and Jack. This short story picks up a few hours after the epilogue in ALL JACKED UP, at their wedding reception. Which segues nicely into COWGIRLS DON’T CRY, since it picks up in chapter two at that same wedding reception. So, two Rough Rider installments released in one week, and one will be FREE — how awesome is that?
And speaking of awesome, check out the cover. Seriously. Isn’t this sexy, hot, and perfect?

Just finished reading Corralled (I really enjoyed it) and now I can’t wait to read it’s sequel Saddled And Spurred. There were so many great secondary characters in this book and I can’t wait to read their stories. I have to admit that I’m a little disappointed when I read a book description of Saddled And Spurred (on another website) and none of those characters were mentioned in the book discription. Maybe we will get all their stories in later books. I guess I’m just spoiled by getting to read about all those sexy McKay’s.

Any possibilities for a story line on rodeo star, Chase McKay, who gave up sex fo 4 months to stay out of tabloids and Ava Dumond/Cooper, the TV/movie star with terrible taste in men also trying to stay out of tabloids? Thought it would make a good story for a meeting at Kane and Ginger’s wedding.

You know, the Slow Ride cover is disappointing after the All Jacked Up cover. This woman is nowhere near as attractive as AJU, and if this is the same guy I am surprised. I would have thought the same models would have been used for continuity. However, I loved AJU and I suspect Slow Ride will be a blast.
