This was the view I had 2 weeks ago in the Florida Gulf Coast. Gorgeous. Bet the water is a little choppier in the wake of Hurricane Isaac.

I’m on the northeastern coast of Florida and I made out pretty good. But we’ve been having a very rainy season anyway…had 40″ of the wet stuff in June alone and it rains almost every afternoon. But the temps are still in the 80’s and when the sun comes out – it is gorgeous!
I just went through the tip of Tropical Storm Isaac last Saturday when I was on a cruise ship. So glad it wasn’t a hurricane yet. And believe me, being a few hundred miles away from the center was close enough for me. The storm was stunning, lightening all around the ship but had a few scary moments when the lightening hit the water just beyond our balcony! Glad to be home.
