Western Wednesday #26

May 12, 2010

I should call this Whining Wednesday because it is snowing here. Yes, I said SNOWING. Not the pretty little flakes that swirl around and melt the instant they hit the ground. No. We’ve received three inches of snow in the last 2 hours. We’re under a winter weather advisory. The roads are bad, the trees are groaning under the weight of the heavy, wet stuff. I’m damn glad I haven’t planted any flowers yet. Here’s a picture of downtown Deadwood amidst the snow:

Sorry for your pain. We are getting an accelerated move to late spring. Monday was 60 and raining. Tuesday was partly cloudy and 71. Today is supposed to be 78 and tomorrow 85. I prefer to ease into temperature change, not leap.

Sorry about the snow — probably someone was fool enough to take off their snow tires – oh wait, that was me! So, since you can’t be out in the garden, maybe you could be putting up a few excerpts of the new Rough Riders books? Just asking.

I hate it for you. Forcast for South Carolina LowCountry is 90 today. I agree with Laura R I prefer a gradual change. It was 77 on Sunday. Go figure. I will mentally send you some heat if you send me some cool.
