This is a short post from me on this long weekend, because I’m lucky enough to have this girl here:
We are having all kinds of fun and it hasn’t rained yet–pretty much a given on Memorial Day weekend 🙂
Weird thing about my post from last Saturday: it didn’t post. I went back a few hours after I posted it to check comments and I was pissed off when I saw there wasn’t any record of the post! Not happy, I’d included a bunch of pics of my flowers/plants that were blooming 😡 it’d taken me a while to compose the post and when it vanished…well…I didn’t feel like redoing it.
So tell me what your weekend plans are!
Be safe ~

Taking my daughter to get her first dose of the vaccine shortly. But other than the usual stuff of reading, housework, and so forth we have no major plans.

It’s cold and rainy here in Massachusetts all weekend 😔. I’m staying in with a fire going and cleaning. I’d much rather be hanging out with that little princess you have there!

My plans include a pedicure (currently being done) and taking my mother to the grocery store after grabbing dinner somewhere.

I’m reading and vegging out…

Finishing lunch, then have to make a grocery run. Fingers crossed store not too busy!😳
Weather wise, getting much needed rain and a dog who doesn’t like going out in the rain, so no walk. 😔

We live in Manitoba, so we’re taking it easy and staying close to home. We’ll do a bit of yard and house work and try to keep the kids busy.
Have a great weekend!

We kept 3 of the grand boys last night and they are so delightful (7 ½, 4 ½ and 2)! The other kids are on a vacay and I’m caring for their sweet kitty. That’s it! Reading and watching some sports.
Have a great weekend!

It’s almost if not over 100 degrees here in Las Vegas. I am relaxing. I am rereading the Rough Rider Series and am on Rough Raw and Ready right now. I love this series. I have probably read the series over 20 times, but my favorite book in the series is Shoulda Been A Cowboy, I know I have read that book at least 400 times.
Be safe and have fun with your grand daughter.

I plan to do some quilting and reading. I’m in the middle of rereading Marie Force’s Fatal series. Sorry about your other post-did your iris plants do well this year?

Since it’s raining here and more expected tomorrow… No plans. But I will at least cook some burgers because, you know that’s what you eat on holiday weekends… 😏

That’s funny because I remember seeing your pretty flower pics ..

Got my nails redone today (I go in every two weeks-they grow that fast), got some groceries after, got them put away and laundry going again then back to town for a couple more items. Back to work in the morning and also Monday and Tuesday (AND I worked yesterday). This is the OFFICIAL beginning to my husbands busiest time of the year (private security for a gated community built around 2 SMALL lakes). Hope Wednesday gets here soon after tonight!

Im not doing anything special. Hauled out pairs today. Only 6 left to calve. Decorated graves. Sunday is fencing. Monday, a gal is playing taps at the cemetery and i have to provide coffee and rolls afterwards. Then feed cows.
When you have cattle its hard to get away for any period of time.

Nothing special going on. After 18″ of rain we are fighting mosquitos. I think they have the upper hand because every time you spray wait about 4 hours and it rains again. Therefore poison is gone. Today it didn’t rain but we have a 60% chance for tomorrow. can’t have a good time with friends or family with the rain & mosquitoes
I enjoyed seeing what kind of flowers grow in your state. I’m still waiting for some of my plants to surprise me and green up. Freeze in February did a number on yards and flower beds. Enjoy your grandbaby. My grandkids are both at Texas Tech and I miss them.
Have a good Memorial Day.

Sorry to hear about your post from last week! I sympathize with you, Lorelei! Electronic devices often seem to go haywire around me. All the clocks that I am close to (the one on my side of the bed, the one in my car) will slow down. I’ve tested my theory, we’ve switched clocks, it’s always the one next to me. When it goes to his side, it runs on time! When I used to wear a watch, I was often late because I never knew how many minutes my watch was slow.
And I could tell you a lot if stories about my computer woes! I’ve worked closely with computers for most of my life. But every once in a while it will do something unexplainable. My husband is an IT guy, so he’s able to fix the problem. But even he sometimes can’t figure out how it got from here to there! We believe I have an aura about me that just sends electronics bazonkers!
Well, here in the province of Ontario, we are still in full lockdown for a couple more weeks. So I’m just working away in the vegetable and flower garden. We’ve already enjoyed a couple of meals with spinach, had our first harvest of Bok Choy, and we’ve been eating salads every day this week with the Mesclun Mix out of the garden. I’ve also had a handful of strawberries already. Much more to come! I’ll be harvesting some Swiss Chard this coming week. I just finished planting all my tomatoes, peppers, kale, okra, watermelon, squash, beans, and corn. I’ll wait a few weeks before installing the trellises for the beans. So this weekend will be cleaning up the now dead tulips and hyacinths.
Thanks Lorelei! Have a great week!

I left with my parents on Friday, drove to Utah to visit family we found on Ancestry.com. It is absolutely beautiful here. Memorial day I get to take my favorite Vietnam veteran to Arizona to see my Great Uncle that also served in Vietnam. Tuesday we head back to Iowa and drive through states I’ve not yet hit on my bucket list.
Finished a LJ book while my Dad took a turn driving. FINALLY!! I’ve been trying to find time in my insane schedule to actually finish a book.
Have a safe weekend!

I had a weekend of fun with the family planned but it rained on my parade! In CT it’s raining and cold 40’s at night 50 during the day. I went to the NY Mets game with my husband and son last night. The rain stopped for the game and the Mets won so that was a good thing. I was supposed to go to a flea market this morning with my daughter and husband but we got rained out. Hopefully my town will be able to have the Memorial Day parade tomorrow morning. If weather permits my husband and I will go with my son and granddaughter. It will be her first parade but unfortunately her mommy and auntie who are both nurses will be working.

Cold and rainy. Sad when we have to start the stove at the end of May. Hubby had shoulder surgery last week so we just hung out and did nothing too exciting.

It was nice here yesterday, no rain in Illionis. It will be in the 70’s today. We visited some friends yesterday that we have not seen in a while because of covid. Think it took a lot out of my husband, we were going to go see his step mom, but I feel he needs some rest, I don’t want him back in the hospital.
I am going to work on planting my flowers today.

Didn’t have much planned since hubby works retail no days off. Found out on Monday where he works was given the staff who were veterans an additional percentage off so I got flowers to put in containers.
