Candy korn. Why is it spelled that way? And did the bank Korn name themselves in homage to the deliciousness that is candy korn?
Mmm. Even if you hate it, I know you’ll eat just one. Just because. It’s tradition, right? I always buy a bag. I always feel sick after I shovel the entire bag in my mouth, a kernel at a time, like I’m a starving crow or something. But I still do it. Every year.
And I’m such a sucker, one year I was at the local greenhouse and I came across a candy korn plant. No kidding. I’ll freely admit my plant never looked this healthy. I can forgive the person who posted this picture for misspelling the name…because it’s korn with a “k” K?
But as much as I love those white tipped yellow and orange sugar triangles, I gotta confess…the little pumpkins are more to my liking. Probably because I don’t like real pumpkins and there is no pumpkin flavor at all in these little babies. Just pure sugar.

I prefer the Indian Candy Korn. It has the chocolate bottom . I am sure they had to spell it Korn because of the morons out there who would get confused and serve it with mash potatoes at Thanksgiving .

I confess candy korn has always been a favorite, and even now I eat each color seperately, just as I did as a kid, and as my daughter does now too.

It’s funny how everyone has their favorite, mine is the Harvest Korn. The kind with the chocolate on the bottom. Last year I discovered Carmel Korn and went nuts. This year I’ve had NONE! It’s one of those treats that if I buy it I will eat it until I’m sick so this year I didn’t buy any, but now I’m craving it. LOL! Thank goodness the season is almost over.
