News: A Switcheroo for the 2011 Rough Riders books

April 12, 2011

I had a blast at Romantic Times in LA — love that conference, but I am exhausted.

One of my favorite parts of that conference is getting to spend “face” time with my Samhain Publishing family — the wonderful Marty, our author liaison, the fabulously talented Scott, my cover artist, the crazy Heather, Crissy the CEO’s right hand woman, and last, but certainly not least, is my kick-ass editor, Lindsey. Lindsey stays pretty calm when I throw surprises at her.

Like…When I asked her how much of a pain in the butt it’d be if I switched out two story lines in the Rough Riders saga, taking one we’d scheduled for 2012 and moving it to 2011, and pushing the one from 2011 back to 2012,  she didn’t even blink. She said, “We’ll make it work.”

So, I’m announcing that we’ve moved Tell McKay’s story, KISSIN’ TELL, to spring 2012.

NOW DON’T PANIC. That doesn’t mean you’re only getting one Rough Riders book in 2011. It just means I’ve moved Ben McKay’s book ahead several months. COWBOY CASANOVA will hit the shelves in October 2011!!

Those of you who’ve contacted me wondering about the mysterious Ben and when his book will be available…well, now you know — and you’ve gotta be happy I’ve decreased the wait time 🙂

you are the storyteller so you know best…I can just imagine all your characters standing up saying Pick Me! Pick Me…okay maybe not the McKay men…but they do enjoy the spotlight a lil’

I look forward to the Rough Riders and your Blacktop Cowboys as well…i am waiting *patiently* for June 28th!!!

Waiting till October is sucky…but unless I get hit with another bout of insomnia, I should be able to reread all the books and be ready for Ben’s story right on time. Hey, Chasin Eight is still hitting in June tho, right?

I have to agree with everyone else. As long as they keep coming. I really don’t ever want the series to end. Maybe all the babies will be old enough to have their stories told one day!

PS Will Keely and Jack ever have children? I could just see Jack in labor/delivery.
