The sixth book in my Rough Riders series, featuring Colt McKay and India Ellison, a friends to red-hot lovers tale, releases as an ebook today – buy it here!:
Ha. Ha. First comment! Bought it the minute it was posted on the website. And man, did I cry. Cord, who I totally fell in love with when I first read about him, I wanted to smack for being so haughty. But, then he redeemed himself, so all is right with the world.
Anyway, thank you for writing such an amazing story. India and Colt make such a lovely couple. And I’m not one who cries easily, so I’m damn proud that you made me cry. I can’t wait until this comes to print.

I love this one!!! I have loved this whole series but this one made me laugh and cry and want much for the whole world to understand love.
DJ, first comment, hell, I think you’re one of the first people to finish it! I’m really doing the happy dance you loved it that much~thanks for taking the time to tell me π
Whata- darlin’, that’s my favorite thing about writing romance, hitting those emotional chords…that and the smokin’ hot sex~thanks to you too, for stopping by my blog world π
I bough tthis yesterday and devoured it. Loved every page.
I espcially loved the family drama in this book. Colt’s strained family relations broke my heart. LOVED IT!.
And now I’m more than a little in love with Cam as well. Can’t wait for his book next. It is him next, right? Or os it Buck next…there’s sooo many juicy cowboys to chose from. You’re spoiling us Lorelei!
Ah, Sayuri, “devoured it” is music to my ears π
My editor loved Cam too…lots of people clamoring for his story now. But he’s not next…
In May, my novella Strong, Silent Type will be out in the “Wild Ride” cowboy anthology from Samhain. I’m calling it Rough Rider book 6.5 and it features cousin Quinn McKay and his wife Libby — the fighting couple I briefly introduced at the McKay family reunion in Tied Up, Tied Down…
In July, Miss Firecracker, the second book in my Wild West Boys series will be out, and that is Blake West’s story (Miss Firecracker and Mistress Christmas will be packaged together in one single print book in 2010)
Heh, Angela mentioned on Twitter that she loved Cam ages ago. She was bragging. She is such a tease. I was jealous. Mucho jealous. LOL
I am so happy we’re getting more of Libby and Quinn. I thought that was so sad in TUTD and I wanted to hear more of thier story! Yay!
And how could we not get Blake’s story after seeing him be so sweet in BAT. I loved him too. I love all your cowboys. I’m such a tart. π
And AUGUST!! I have to wait until AUGUST! But…..I want it now! LOLOL
Hey you can take as long as you want to write it, as long as I get a chance to read it at some point! π I’m a very happy chappy!
Thanks for some great books full of the awesome sauce!

Hi Lorelei,
I LOVED BAT. This is my favorite book of all the Rough Riders. I literally couldn’t put it down, and cried along the way. The emotional connection between Colt and India was so real, and I loved that you took your readers on a journey with these characters from friends to lovers in such a believable way. The supporting players in the book just enhanced this amazing book. Thank you so much. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.
“Awesome sauce” made me spit out my Diet Pespi, Sayuri, you’re a scream! Thanks again for the tartness that is you π
Tracy, truly? I’m thrilled…and relieved, because I get so close to these books while I’m working I never honestly know if it’ll be a hit with fans or not..so YAY! Thanks for letting me know.
Everyone is already harassing me for the next installment and I cannot see how that is a bad problem to have!

I bought it yesterday, read it most of last night and first thing this morning I finished it. I loved it! I also can’t wait to read about Cam. I really enjoy your rough rider series (Ok… the monogomy ones more… LOL) and you’re very talented. I hope the stories just keep coming. I’m sure when you get to Keely’s story… that will be a really good one too. LOL. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment of reading about Colt and India.
Just wanted to pop in and say congrats for jumping to the No.1 spot at MBAM after only 1 day of release! Way to go !

I loved BAT. I have read the whole Rough Riders series and bought this book the first day of its release. You did a great job over the last couple of books to BAT to develop Colt’s character that truly touched my heart. While this is a romance (and yummy) novel, it instills in the reader the importance of a kind act call forgiveness–and as this book attests, it’s hard but necessary and so rewarding. Great job and can’t wait for the next book.
Thanks, Marjorie, I love it when readers get more out of the book than just a hot romance…without it seeming like I’m preaching at them! I’ve got more stories coming, so stay tuned π

I wasn’t surprised to see that BAT hit the number one spot within a day. I’m ashamed to say that I had no idea about your superb writing skills until I picked up Cowgirl Up and Ride in ebook format and after realizing that I’d skipped the first two installments, I went out and bought them in both ebook form and print. Besides, it wasn’t hard to fall in love with Cord and AJ. Or any of your other characters from the Rough Riders series. They’re all so heartbreakingly real.
And so far, I’ve bought all your books that’ve come to print, but lemme tell you, waiting for BAT to come out in print is gonna be a bitch because Colt knocked Cord out of the number one spot of the super-hot Mckay list. So, it’s Colt, Cord, and then Kade. Anyway, I’m rambling. So, I’d just like to finish this off by saying as long as you keep writing, I’ll keep reading. And congrats on being number 1 on the MBAM list. ^_^
