First off, THANK YOU everyone who commented last week! I love reading what you’ve all been up to. WOWZA, lots of birthdays, retirements, canning, cooking and preserving food stuff, sending kids to school and off to college…and I hated hearing how many of you are suffering with a viral illnesses — including this new strain of COVID. I’m thankful with my various travels and being around a few people who tested positive that no one in our household has been affected (KNOCK WOOD)

SO we binged watched Jett — a series on HBO Max this week. You all know how much I love noir, and how pissy I can get when entertainment is (mis)labeled noir, but holy crap did this series fulfill all my expectations and more!
Carla Gugino is amazing as a thief freshly out of prison. Check out this hot hot hot picture of her — and how noir is this image of her in trenchcoat and heels coming out of a deco elevator?
This is one of the most unpredictable and engrossing TV series I’ve ever seen. And it kind of pisses me off, to be honest, that I hadn’t heard of this when it debuted in 2019 on Cinemax, because I guarantee you, if a man would’ve been cast in the title role, reviewers would be heaping praise on this show. So if you like your shows dark, sexy, nasty, and violent, give this one a try.

I’ve been trying to catch up on all the shows on my DVR anxiously awaiting the return of Yellowstone and then the premiere of Mayor of Kingstown also from Taylor Sheridan.
